Analytik Jena’s qTOWER³ qPCR Authorized Under FDA EUA for COVID-19 Testing with PerkinElmer New Coronavirus Nucleic Acid Detection Kit

[Translate to Korean:] Friday, November 13, 2020 – Upland, California – Analytik Jena, a world leader in liquid handling, sample processing automation and nucleic acid amplification technologies announced today that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has expanded the PerkinElmer emergency use authorization (EUA) for the PerkinElmer New Coronavirus Nucleic Acid Detection Kit to include the Analytik Jena qTOWER3 / qTOWER3 G 96 Real-Time PCR Systems and qTOWER3 84 / qTOWER3 84 G Real-Time PCR System.

The PerkinElmer New Coronavirus Nucleic Acid Detection Kit is a real-time RT-PCR test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2 in human oropharyngeal, nasopharyngeal, and anterior nasal swab samples. Using the FDA SARS-CoV-2 Reference Panel for comparative assessment, the PerkinElmer New Coronavirus Nucleic Acid Detection kit showed the lowest limit of detection (LoD) on the market.
